Website operation
Wix hosts this website and processes technical information needed to deliver pages, maintain security and operate website features.  Essential cookies and similar technologies support those functions.

Optional tracking
Optional analytics may include Metricool, Wix Analytics and Google Analytics when enabled.  These services help measure visits, pages viewed and technical information about browsers and devices.  Google advertising code may also load when advertising consent is given.  Optional analytics and advertising are controlled through the cookie banner.  Choose Accept all, Decline All or Choose settings.  You can reopen Cookie settings to change your choice.  Declining optional cookies does not prevent you playing the game or viewing its rankings.

Christmas game and leaderboard
You can play without entering your name or firm.  To submit a score, provide your name, firm and a return code, and confirm that your name, firm and best score will be publicly displayed.  Your tier and ranking are calculated from game performance and do not assess professional ability.

The game records a random session identifier, start time, game seed and movement inputs so that scores can be checked.  It stores submitted scores and a protected hash of your return code to maintain one personal-best listing per name and firm.  The original return code is not stored.  Use a code made for this game, not a password you use elsewhere.  The game adds no cookies or persistent browser storage of its own.

Why information is used
Optional tracking and publication of your leaderboard entry rely on your consent.  Operating the website, verifying game scores and protecting entries serve legitimate interests in providing a secure, fair service.  Submitting a score does not subscribe you to marketing.

Sharing and retention
Wix processes hosting and game data.  Google and Metricool process information where their optional services are enabled and you have agreed to the relevant tracking.  Public leaderboard details can be viewed and copied by other visitors.  Providers may process information outside the UK under their applicable transfer arrangements.

Leaderboard entries and verification records are retained while needed to operate and check this edition of the game, resolve disputes and protect entries.  They are reviewed when the edition closes.  Contact Sarah to request removal of your entry or information about the retention of other website records.

Your choices and rights
You may withdraw optional tracking consent through Cookie settings and request removal of a leaderboard entry by email.  Withdrawal does not affect earlier lawful processing.  Depending on the circumstances, you have rights to access, correct or erase personal information, restrict or object to processing, and receive portable information.  You may complain to the Information Commissioner at ico.org.uk.
